Chiropractors
Dr Stephen Crean B.App.Sc(Chiro), DNBCE, MACA.
Dr Crean has been in private practice since graduating in 1987 from RMIT, Melbourne. He has practised in New Zealand, South Australia, Canberra, and, Tasmania since 1989. He has published in medical and chiropractic journals. Dr Crean has organised, coordinated and volunteered as a chiropractor at many sporting events, children’s expo’s, including taking Chiropractic care into dis-advantaged regions internationally.
Dr Crean has travelled as the Sports Chiropractor numerous times at National & International events, including World Duathlon, Karate Nationals, CANA Netball, and assisted at Gymnastics events in Tasmania and Sydney.
He has actively participated in professional and regulatory positions throughout his career.
Dr Crean considers himself a general Chiropractor who has an interest in shoulders, knees, functional neuropathies, and TMJ. He regularly attends postgraduate seminars in paediatrics, sports chiropractic, concussion, extremities, radiology, TMJ, and much more.
Since 2013 he has been involved in establishing sports injuries solutions, and performance enhancing strategies for the Kingborough Lions United Football Club.
Currently Dr Crean has been appointed to the Primary Health Tasmanian Allied Health Professional Network Advisory Group. He also has roles in Policy for the Chiropractic profession.
He believes that all members of our community should have the opportunity to receive regular spinal care, and he works for fair and engaged, integrated health care for all Australians.
Dr Ashley Dent B.Chiro.Sc, M.Chiro.Sc, M.ACA
Dr Dent graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney in 2010 where he was awarded the Ed Devereaux Award for Services to the Student Body. He is active within the Australian Chiropractors Association at a state and national level chairing the public engagement committee and being a member of two other committees. He previously volunteered his time with St Vincent de Paul to bring chiropractic care to the homeless and vulnerable in Hobart.
Dr Dent has a keen passion for helping people improve their chronic back and neck pain and then progressing their spinal health through exercise and rehabilitation so that they are stronger and healthier than they’ve ever been.
He has also had further training in the diagnosis and management of vertigo.
He uses a mix of manual and instrument assisted techniques and has expertise in manual techniques such as Diversified and Gonstead. He has attended post-graduate seminars for gentle chiropractic methods including SOT, activator, drop table, and paediatric treatment. He also utilises a variety of muscle release and stretching techniques.
Dr Sam Crean B.Chiro.Sc, M.Chiro.Sc.
Dr Sam Crean has been in practice since graduating in 2017 from Macquarie University,
Sydney. He has been practicing on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Dr Sam has been the sports chiropractor and medical officer for Northern Beaches Soccer clubs and Junior Rugby league teams. Sam is passionate about improving the quality of life for patients, and optimising performance and speeding injury recovery.He is driven to understand how to make the body move faster, stronger and more efficiently.
Dr Sam’s passion for health, nutrition and fitness comes from a love of sport and the outdoors through his scouting and gymnastics. As a former elite Gymnast, he understands Injury Prevention, Good Prep, Treatment and Rehab. This led him to the field of health and fitness ultimately finding Chiropractic as an ideal holistic approach to treating and managing athletes. Dr Sam will be continuing his work with soccer athletes working with the Kingborough Lions NPL teams.
Dr Sam completed his NET training in 2018, and implements several kinesiology techniques into his practice.
Dr Sam uses a variety of adjustment techniques including manual adjustment procedures, activator, drop-piece technique, SOT blocks, specific soft tissue releases (including ART), Neuro-Emotional Technique, nutritional supplementation and dietary analysis.
Dr Sam believes that everyone has the right to high quality health care to support them and their family to live their best.
Massage Therapists
Jen MacGibbon
Jen is a qualified remedial massage therapist who has a strong background in athletics and particularly in professional running. As a past winner of multiple professional running races including the Stawell Women’s Gift she has seen and personally benefited from the positive effects of remedial/sports massage.
This has led her to studying remedial massage therapy so that she can pass on similar benefits to others. Jen is passionate about what she does.
Jen is keen to support you with the positive benefits of remedial massage, regardless of your state of health, age, fitness or whether you are recovering from an injury or simply wanting to maintain an active lifestyle..
She has significant skill and understanding in working in a highly professional work environment that focuses on being very organised, reliable and delivering positive outcomes for others. Outcomes that focus on enabling others to be the best that they can be.
Outside of work Jen undertakes outdoor adventures, particularly white-water paddling, canyoning, bushwalking, snow camping, running, training athletes, keeping fit and staying healthy.

Vitor (Victor) Caldeira
Victor, joins us from early 2024. He has relocated from Queensland with his partner . Originally from Brazil, Victor is following his goal of providing natural health care to the communities where he lives. He has been practicing for 6 years in Brazil and on the mainland.
We are finally able to announce Remedial Massage care at Kingston Chiropractic, and extra times in Hobart Chiropractic.

Roman Meyer
Roman has been practising Massage Therapy in Hobart for 25years and has re-located his Salamanca practice to our Hobart clinic.
Roman provided Massage in Hobart’s first Chronic Pain Clinic. There he worked together with physiotherapists, psychologists and anaesthetists to assist with pain management.
Roman has worked for the Tasmanian and Australian Institute of Sport. This led to him repeatedly travelling with Olympic and national sports teams.
