Are you a New Patient?
Helping you is what it is all about. Our first priority is to identify why you are seeking our help and what it is you want to change.
To make an initial appointment please call us or make an online booking from your PC, Laptop, or Ipad.
Not sure if Chiropractic is for you? Send us an enquiry and one of our Chiropractic Assistants will respond.
Why us?
If you have low back pain, neck pain, headache, a variety of disc pain, pain down your arms, legs, or in hips, knees, shoulders then asking if Hobart & Kingston Chiropractic can help is appropriate. This is where we start.
Some New Patients are just looking for a spinal adjustment and we can help with this (after proper assessment).
One of our strengths is to find the cause of our patients’ problems and not just treat symptoms. We also have our own x-ray service so we can quickly, and easily understand what is going on inside.
Your First Appointment- What to expect?
Our Chiropractic Assistants look forward to meeting you in our warm, friendly environment. Our experienced team will guide you through the process. If you have completed the online questionnaire you will need to give this to reception, otherwise you will be given a form to fill in. There will also be a brochure that identifies what we do and our clinic opening times.
New Patient Form
It is important that the chiropractor gains as much information about you to help them determine the best strategy to get you well again. The detailed questionnaire includes questions about your health and family history.
Consultation
In the privacy of a consultation room, a history will be taken that is relevant for you.
Initial Examination
Next your Chiropractor will complete an examination incorporating orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic tests. This will look at the areas important for you and any other relevant surrounding areas.
If necessary we may require x-rays which are completed on site. If you need any further tests your Chiropractor will discuss this with you during the consultation.
Diagnosis
Combining all this information from your consultation, examination and imaging/other tests gives us a clearer picture to be able to deliver the best possible recommendations for your health. Often the diagnosis is given at a second appointment after all the results are in.
Treatment Options
Your Chiropractor will talk to you about your proposed care, the available alternatives and any potential risks associated with our recommendations. This will be outlined in a Treatment Plan.
The more you understand about the chiropractic process, the better the results are likely to be. We’ll also talk to you about our recommendations for your follow-up appointments.
Your Chiropractor may commence some treatment on your first visit.
